Are you interested in joining Ikenobo San Diego? Here are a few things that Ikenobo San Diego Chapter members are entitled to:
Members and their guests enjoy attending and participating in our annual Hatsuike celebration* which usually takes place in either late January or at the beginning of February.
Members gain access to members-only online tutorials and digital magazines offered by Ikenobo Japan Headquarters.
Every other year, members are invited to attend in-person workshops* given by visiting Ikenobo professors from Japan and hosted by our Chapter here in San Diego.
Membership enables you to take ongoing classes* with your instructor so that you may advance through the levels set forth by Ikenobo Japan and receive official course completion diplomas*.
*denotes extra fee
Types of Membership
Regular Membership
Requires Diploma level #1 or above
Qualifies you to receive Ikenobo diplomas from the Headmaster
Gives you free online access to Hana-no-Arakaruto magazine
You receive access to Japan's Ikenobo Regular Member page
Qualifies you to attend courses of the Ikenobo Chuo Kenshu Gakuin (Ikenobo Central Institute of Ikebana Japanese Courses or English Courses) at Ikenobo Headquarters
Qualifies you to attend workshops held by Japan Headquarters (in-person and online)
Qualifies you to view special videos of Ikenobo Headquarters Professors provided by Ikenobo Society of Floral Art
Special Membership
Requires Diploma level #6 or above
You will receive all of the entitlements of a Regular Membership PLUS:
Entitles you to apply for diplomas for your students
You receive access to Japan's Ikenobo Special Member page
Qualifies you to attend Special Member Workshops
Qualifies you to order a Member's Badge
Qualifies you to order curriculum books, vases and kenzans for your students (please note that teachers must attend prescribed workshops before ordering curriculum)
Qualifies you to attend the Ikenobo Central Training Institute in Japan

Membership Registration is open/available anytime to new students of Ikenobo. Returning Members register starting late winter to early spring of each year.
